Warranty Policy
Reliable Products. Dependable Support.
Thank you for choosing SUNBLANE – Your Kitchen Partner.
At SUNBLANE, we are committed to providing dependable kitchen appliances backed by after-sales support. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage, exclusions, service requirements and customer responsibilities applicable to eligible SUNBLANE products.
Warranty coverage may vary according to the product category, model and component. Customers should always refer to the warranty information provided with their specific product.
1. Warranty Coverage
For eligible SUNBLANE Kitchen Chimneys, the following warranty may apply:
12-Year Warranty on Motor
SUNBLANE provides a 12-year warranty on the motor of eligible kitchen chimney models.
This extended warranty applies specifically to the motor and does not automatically extend the same warranty period to other parts or components of the appliance.
1-Year Comprehensive Product Warranty
Eligible SUNBLANE kitchen chimneys are covered by a 1-year comprehensive warranty on covered functional parts, subject to the exclusions and conditions mentioned below.
The exact warranty applicable to your model will be the warranty stated on the product page, invoice, warranty card or official product documentation.
2. Warranty Period
The applicable warranty period starts from the original date of purchase by the customer.
Customers should retain the original:
- Purchase invoice
- Order details
- Warranty card, where supplied
- Product model details
- Product serial number, where applicable
Valid proof of purchase may be required before warranty service can be provided.
3. Genuine SUNBLANE Products
Warranty benefits are available only for genuine SUNBLANE products purchased through SUNBLANE or an authorised dealer/seller, subject to applicable warranty terms.
Products should carry the applicable original identification, model and/or serial information.
Warranty claims may be subject to verification of product authenticity and purchase information.
4. What Is Covered Under Warranty?
Subject to the applicable product warranty, SUNBLANE may provide repair or replacement of eligible defective functional components where a covered defect occurs during normal domestic use.
Depending on the nature of the issue, SUNBLANE may choose to:
Inspect → Repair → Replace the defective component → Provide another appropriate resolution
The appropriate resolution will depend on technical assessment, component availability and applicable warranty terms.
5. Parts Not Covered Under Comprehensive Warranty
Normal wear-and-tear items, consumable components, cosmetic components and certain accessories are generally not covered under the standard comprehensive warranty unless expressly stated otherwise.
These may include, where applicable:
- Charcoal filters
- Grease filters
- Lamps/Bulbs
- Filter locks
- Glass visor
- Push buttons
- Touch buttons/control surfaces
- Outer body
- Plastic components
- Cosmetic parts
- Remotes
- Accessories
- Other consumable or wear-and-tear components
Replacement of these items may therefore be chargeable.
6. Normal Wear & Tear
The warranty is intended to cover eligible manufacturing or functional defects and does not cover deterioration resulting from normal use.
Normal wear and tear may include changes in appearance or performance of consumable/cosmetic components that naturally occur through regular product usage.
Such conditions will not normally be considered manufacturing defects.
7. Proper Product Usage
SUNBLANE appliances must be used according to the operating, safety, cleaning and maintenance instructions applicable to the product.
Kitchen chimneys and cooker hoods should not be:
- Handled roughly
- Used for unintended purposes
- Improperly installed
- Improperly cleaned or maintained
- Modified without authorisation
- Operated contrary to safety instructions
Damage resulting from misuse, negligence or improper handling may not qualify for warranty coverage.
8. Authorised Repair & Service
During the warranty period, repair or servicing affecting warranty-covered components should be performed by SUNBLANE-authorised service personnel or another person specifically authorised by SUNBLANE.
Repair, modification, dismantling or servicing by an unauthorised person may affect warranty eligibility where the unauthorised work causes or contributes to the reported defect.
Customers should contact SUNBLANE customer support before arranging third-party repair of a product under warranty.
9. Warranty May Not Cover
Subject to applicable law and the specific warranty for the purchased product, warranty may not apply to damage or defects resulting from:
- Accidental damage
- Rough handling
- Misuse or negligence
- Improper installation
- Unauthorised repair
- Unauthorised modification
- Incorrect electrical supply
- Voltage fluctuations or external electrical issues
- Improper maintenance
- Failure to follow operating instructions
- Normal wear and tear
- Consumable components
- Cosmetic damage
- External causes beyond the appliance itself
- Physical damage occurring after delivery
- Damage caused during shifting or relocation
- Pest/insect-related damage
- Water ingress where the product is not designed for such exposure
10. Repair & Replacement of Parts
Where a covered component is found defective, SUNBLANE will make reasonable efforts to repair the product.
Where repair is not reasonably possible, an eligible defective component may be replaced, subject to:
- Technical assessment
- Warranty eligibility
- Availability of compatible parts
- Product condition
- Applicable warranty terms
Replacement parts may be functionally equivalent compatible parts where the exact original component is no longer available.
11. Service & Repair Time
SUNBLANE will make reasonable efforts to address warranty service requests as efficiently as possible.
However, service or repair time may vary depending on:
- Customer location
- Technician availability
- Nature of the fault
- Spare-part availability
- Product model
- Service workload
- Logistics requirements
Accordingly, a fixed repair or replacement timeline cannot always be guaranteed.
12. Spare-Part Availability
For older or discontinued models, availability of identical replacement components may become limited.
Where an identical component is unavailable, SUNBLANE may, where reasonably possible, use a compatible or functionally equivalent component.
Any alternative resolution will depend on technical feasibility and applicable consumer rights.
13. Installation & Warranty
Where professional installation is required, customers should follow SUNBLANE’s applicable installation guidelines.
Damage resulting directly from incorrect or unauthorised installation may not be covered under warranty.
Additional installation materials or services, including ducting and other accessories, may be separately chargeable unless specifically included with the purchased product.
14. Service Visit & Other Charges
A product being within its motor-warranty period does not necessarily mean that every service, component or technician visit is free of charge.
Depending on the product, warranty status and nature of the service request, charges may apply for:
- Technician visits
- Installation
- Cleaning
- Maintenance
- Non-covered components
- Consumable parts
- Accessories
- Out-of-warranty repairs
- Additional materials
- Services unrelated to a covered defect
Any applicable charges should be communicated according to SUNBLANE’s current service policy.
15. Motor Warranty vs. Comprehensive Warranty
Customers should understand the distinction between these two types of warranty.
12-Year Motor Warranty
Applies specifically to an eligible chimney’s motor, subject to warranty conditions.
1-Year Comprehensive Warranty
Applies to eligible covered functional components for the applicable period, excluding specified consumables, cosmetic parts, accessories and wear-and-tear items.
Therefore, expiry of the comprehensive warranty does not necessarily mean that an eligible motor warranty has also expired.
Similarly, an active motor warranty does not mean every other component or service is covered free of charge.
16. Consequential or Indirect Loss
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SUNBLANE’s product warranty relates to eligible defects in the covered product/component itself.
SUNBLANE will not ordinarily be responsible under this limited warranty for indirect or consequential losses arising from product downtime or inability to use the appliance, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Warranty Claim Process
To request warranty service, customers should contact SUNBLANE through the official service or complaint channel.
Please keep the following information ready:
Customer Name
Registered Mobile Number
Complete Address & PIN Code
Product Name
Product Model
Serial Number, if applicable
Purchase Date
Invoice/Proof of Purchase
Description of the Problem
Photographs or videos of the product/problem may also be requested where they help with preliminary technical assessment.
18. Technical Inspection
Submitting a complaint does not automatically establish that the reported issue is covered under warranty.
SUNBLANE or its authorised service representative may inspect the appliance to determine:
- Nature of the fault
- Cause of the problem
- Warranty status
- Condition of the product
- Whether repair is possible
- Whether parts need replacement
- Whether charges apply
The resolution will be determined based on this technical assessment and applicable warranty terms.
19. Warranty Is Non-Transferable
Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular product, the warranty is intended for the original purchaser and may require valid proof of purchase.
Warranty benefits cannot be assigned or transferred contrary to the applicable warranty terms.
20. Warranty Does Not Affect Statutory Rights
These warranty terms provide contractual warranty benefits offered by SUNBLANE.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or override any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.
Where applicable law provides the customer with additional mandatory rights, those rights will continue to apply.
21. Complaints & Disputes
SUNBLANE will review warranty complaints based on:
- Product condition
- Technical inspection
- Proof of purchase
- Applicable warranty period
- Cause of failure
- Warranty exclusions
- Available service records
SUNBLANE’s technical assessment and warranty decision will apply subject to the applicable warranty terms and consumer rights available under Indian law.
